Health benefits administration is the core business of our company and is built on the pillars of our strong corporate governance. From working with qualified independent trustees consisting of chartered accountants to using proprietary systems that allow real time audit trails along with annual audits by Ernst & Young, Benecaid is focused on transparency for all of our clients and partners.

Innovative Thinking

Decades of Experience

Peter Berczi


Peter joined Benecaid in 2014 after 9 years (2005-2014) as a Senior Executive at Rogers Communications, where his roles included SVP of Enterprise IT and head of Wireless Operations. Peter was previously CEO of InsLogic, an innovative US wholesale property casualty personal lines brokerage acquired by Capital One in 2005. From 1995-1999, Peter was co-founder and CEO of North Direct Response, a Canadian leader in outsourced customer care, technical support and business process outsourcing – which became a key part of SITEL Corp’s global footprint. Peter earned his undergraduate Science degree from Queen’s (1990) and his MBA from Wilfrid Laurier (1992). He is actively involved with the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital volunteer association.

Darren Sacks


For the past 15 years, Darren has played a leading role in the sales and marketing arena. Darren began his career in sales as an independent advisor, focusing on the life and health markets. During that time he grew a substantial insurance brokerage business that covered both standard and highly innovative products to meet the needs of a large and diverse client base. Prior to joining Benecaid, Darren worked for several years in the MGA channel where he supported an exclusive network of Canada’s top premium producing insurance advisors.

Constantin Brisca


Constantin is a senior professional with over a decade of experience working in Finance. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Bucharest University of Economic Studies and is currently working towards his CPA. Having previously worked at large multinational corporations such as Citigroup and GMAC, he has leveraged this experience at Benecaid for the past 5 years, where he sits on the Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for the coordination of financial responsibilities and the Finance Team.

David Katz


David is responsible for marketing and innovation, strategy, partnerships and corporate development. David also leads the Honeybee team, developing next generation distribution platforms and digital products. Prior to Benecaid, David was EVP at EQ Works (2008- 2015), an advertising technology and media agency, where he oversaw strategy, new ventures, partnerships, and M&A. David was CEO of Portfolios.com (2005-2008), a digital marketplace for the advertising industry until its acquisition in 2008. Previously, David served as EVP Corporate Development at InsLogic (2000-2005), a private label digital insurance agency, where he developed and integrated partnerships with leading financial institutions across North America and until its acquisition by Capital One. David is also corporate lawyer with significant experience with complex regulated industries, financing activities and corporate transactions. David earned his undergraduate degree from University of Western Ontario (1991) and his LLB from Osgoode Hall (1995).

Leanne Baptista


Leanne’s career has been built around ensuring the delivery of customer service that exceeds expectations. Since joining Benecaid in 2004 as a Sales & Marketing Representative. Leanne has gone on to lead various teams including our Administration team with a focus on developing structured, leading-edge administration practices and led the Customer Care and Service team overseeing the expansion of our Call Centre. Prior to joining Benecaid, Leanne held various Customer Service roles for seven years.

Jack Chung


Jack joined Benecaid in 2016 to lead the team responsible for building and launching Honeybee, Benecaid’s next generation digital benefits platform. He continues to apply his expertise in the areas of software architecture, distributed systems and scalability to all of Benecaid’s products and systems. Over the past decade, Jack has held a number of senior software development and engineering roles at start-ups and large corporations in the ad tech industry. He began his career with IBM and Microsoft and has a Computer Science degree from the University of Toronto.
